Alumni Events, USF Bent Garden Renovation, NOAA Scholarships (Jan. 2018)

The Florida Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi is raising funds towards a renovation of the garden and bent monument on the chapter’s campus at the University of South Florida (USF). Visit the project page for plan details, including constructing a brick sidewalk, installing lights to shine on the Bent monument, and constructing a new pedestal base.

In addition, the chapter with the help of local alumni, made a video (below) highlighting the history of the chapter and its bent monument. The fundraiser ends on February 28, 2018.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced scholarship availability for undergraduate students majoring in disciplines related to oceanic and atmospheric science, research, or technology, and supportive of the purposes of NOAA’s programs and mission. Over 100 students are selected each year for participation in the Ernest F. Hollings and Educational Partnership Program scholarship programs. These scholarships include support for two years of undergraduate study and summer internship opportunities at NOAA facilities across the country.
