Outstanding Student-Athlete, FIU Bent, & Scholar-Leader-Athlete (March 2018)

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association has named Catherine Daoust, MN B 2018, as the Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year. Daoust is a mechanical engineering major and defenseman on the women’s hockey team at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

She finishes her career with nine goals, 28 assists for 37 points in 140 games. She is a three-time WCHA Scholar Athlete, an assistant captain, and plans to pursue a master’s degree in aerospace engineering. Read more here

Trevor Osler, NJ Z 2018, has been named The College of New Jersey’s Earl H. Dean Scholar-Leader-Athlete winner for 2017. According to this article, he will be recognized as a special honoree at the 56th Annual George Wah Scholar-Leader-Athlete Awards Dinner in Princeton, NJ, on March 11.

Osler was named second-team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference this past year after completing 61 percent of his passes for 2,047 yards and 14 touchdowns as quarterback on the varsity football team. He passed for over 4,100 yards in his career and will graduate in May with a degree in mechanical engineering.
