Basketball Academic All-American, Miami Dade HOF, & More Pi Day Media (March 2018)

Nicole L. Buckingham, MI H 2019, was named to the 2017-18 CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division Basketball second team.

Buckingham is studying biomedical engineering at Lawrence Technological University. She is a two-time WHAC First Team-All Conference selection and averaged 17.3 points/game as a small forward on the women’s basketball team this season.

Miami Dade College will honor a class of 14 new inductees into its Hall of Fame at a ceremony on April 3. Alumni Hall of Fame inductees are recognized each year for their career accomplishments, service, and for making a positive impact on the community.

Caridad Hidalgo-Cato, FL B ’80, is an inductee in architecture. She is principal at KVH Architects, P.A., and recognized for her work by the journal Progressive Architecture and for expertise in educational facilities. She graduated from the University of Miami.
