Goldwater Scholars, UM Student Honors, & 2018 Convention Welcome Speaker (April 2018)

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation recently announced the 2018-19 Goldwater Scholars. This year 211 scholarships were awarded to undergraduate sophomores and juniors based on academic merit in mathematics, science, and engineering. A total of 1,280 students were nominated by college and university faculty in the Unites States. Read the press release here and see the full list of 2018 Goldwater Scholars.

Warren M. Boley Jr., IN G ’84, has accepted an invitation to be the Welcome Speaker at Tau Beta Pi’s 2018 Convention in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Boley previously served as president of Aerojet Rocketdyne, Pratt & Whitney (Military Engines Division), and Norsk Titanium.

Currently, he serves as a board member for Boley Tool & Machine Works, Inc. He will speak on Thursday, October 11. Check back to the TBP Convention website for more details.
