The University of California, Riverside, has announced that Christopher S. Lynch, Ph.D. (CA I ’83) will be the next dean of the Bourns College of Engineering, beginning on September 1, 2018. Currently, Dr. Lynch is chair of the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering’s mechanical and aerospace department.
Dr. Lynch received his masters and his Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara. Read the announcement for more information on Dr. Lynch a National Science Foundation Career Award winner and American Society for Engineering Education Young Mechanics Educator of the Year Award winner.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Santa Clara University. At Heritage Foods, she is focused on mergers and acquisitions, business development and marketing initiatives.

Earlier this month, the six recipients of Kansas State University’s 2018 Presidential Awards were announced. Lisa R. Wilken, Ph.D. (KS G ’03) received the Presidential Award for excellence in undergraduate advising. Click here for the news release.
Dr. Wilken is an assistant professor of biological and agricultural engineering and the primary advisor for the biological and agricultural engineering program’s biological option. In addition, she served as the advisor to the student chapter of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers for five years and is currently an TBP Kansas Gamma Chapter advisor.
