This year’s edition is titled “Mission Rebuild” and includes a story on restoring endangered species in Oregon’s waters, a report on protecting communities from weather events, a hydropower rehabilitation project, and much more.

Valerie L. Hohol, MN B 2018, has been selected as a 2018 CoSIDA Division II Academic All-America® for Softball. She is a junior chemical engineering major at the University of Minnesota, Duluth and first team All-American; she is a pitcher on the softball team.
Hohol maintained a 4.0 GPA, is a two-time National Fastpitch Scholar Athlete, two-time Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team recipient, and completed her career with five shutouts and one no-hitter. She also received back-to-back NSIC Elite 18 Awards for the student-athlete with the highest GPA.

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation recently announced the 2018 class of PanHellenic Scholarship recipients. The 2018 Award Ceremony and Gala will take place Saturday, June 16, in Chicago, Illinois. Read the announcement for more information.
There were several engineering student scholars in the 2018 class, including Nicholas C. Georgiou, VA A 2019, a computer engineering and computer science double major at the University of Virginia. Georgiou is currently working on NASA’s coordinated applied capitol technology university satellite mission.
