Academic All-American of the Year, TBP EC Slate, & Alumni Events (June 2018)

Braeden Ostepchuk, VT B 2018, has been named the 2018 CoSIDA Division III Male Academic All-American® of the Year for At-Large sports. He recently graduated as the Class of 2018 valedictorian with a degree in mechanical engineering from Norwich University. He plays goalie for the ice hockey team.

Ostepchuk maintained a 4.0 GPA, helped guide his team to th 2016-17 NCAA Div. III National Championship, a NCAA Elite 90 Award recipient, and a member of the Norwich student team that won the third annual NASA Big Idea Challenge in March. He is the University’s first three-time Academic All-American and All-District honoree.

The nominees for the 2019-21 term to join the Tau Beta Pi Executive Council have been accepted. Read the short bios of each nominee up for election at the 2018 TBP Convention in Denver, Colorado.

Information about the current Executive Council can be found here. Three members of the current council will have their terms expire on December 31, 2018: President Susan L.R. Holl, Ph.D. (CA L ’76); Secretary J.P. Blackford (DC G ’95); and Treasurer George J. Morales, Ph.D. (FL E ’06).
