NC Michigan College President, UC Santa Cruz Images, & USF 1885 Celebration (June 2018)

David R. Finley, Ph.D., P.E. (IN E ’94) has been selected as the president of North Central Michigan College beginning July 2, 2018. He has been serving as dean of Lake Superior State University’s College of Innovation and Solutions (formerly College of Business and Engineering). Read this article for more details.

Dr. Finley received a bachelor’s degree in atmospheric and oceanic science and a master’s degree in atmospheric science, both from University of Michigan. He also holds a master’s degree and doctoral degree in chemical engineering, both from Wayne State University. He joined Tau Beta Pi as an eminent engineer in 2005 while working at Trine University (IN).


The 2018 Commencement for the University of California, Santa Cruz, Basking School Of Engineering took place on June 15. Krystine M. Carrington, CA AD 2018, was among those graduating with her degree in computer engineering.

Members from the Tampa Bay (FL) Alumni Chapter joined the Florida Gamma Chapter for a social celebration of the anniversary of Tau Beta Pi’s first student initiate June 15, 1885.
