Haberly Kahn, NY K 2018, recently graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in chemical engineering, where she was a member of the softball program. This week she was named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year at Rochester.

The award is named the Terrence L. Gurnett Award for being “the top female scholar-athlete of her (senior) class.” Read the announcement for more details on Kahn’s college career, including serving as NY Kappa Chapter recording secretary this past year.

The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) has announced that starting August 17, Dana Nicole “Nikki” Reinemann-Goss, Ph.D. (MS B ’12), will be joining the university’s faculty as an assistant professor of chemical engineering as part of the new biomedical engineering program.

Dr. Reinemann-Goss earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry at Ole Miss and her Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. Being able “to return to my home state and alma mater to pursue exciting scientific areas,” is an exciting opportunity she could not pass up. For more information, read the news article.
