Sigma Xi The Scientific Research Honor Society has announced Timothy A. Davis, Ph.D. (IN A ’83), as the 2018 Walston Chubb Award for Innovation recipient. According to the announcement, the award honors and promotes creativity in science and engineering.
Dr. Davis is a professor in the computer science and engineering department at Texas A&M University. He also serves as an associate editor for the SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, the ACM Transactions on Mathematical Software, and the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing. “He is a world leader in the creation of innovative algorithms and widely-used software for solving large sparse matrix problems that arise in a vast range of real-world technological and social applications.”

Nathan A. Brelage, OH Q 2021, has been named a 2018 recipient of a TEC Services Group, Inc., scholarship. Brelage is a mechanical engineering major at the University of Dayton. He was also a 2017 TEC scholarship recipient. Click here for more biographical details and to see the other 2018 scholar recipients.
The TEC Scholarship Program is offered each year to employees of the ARM industry and their dependents attending a four-year accredited college or university. Each applicant was required to meet academic, attendance, and citizenship standard requirements for their State.
