The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, has appointed eight members to the TexNet Technical Advisory Committee for terms at the pleasure of the Governor. According to the announcement, the committee advises the Bureau of Economic Geology on the use of the funding, including the TexNet Seismic Monitoring Program and collaborative research relationships with other universities in Texas.
K.J. Nygaard, Ph.D. (AZ A ’85), is one of the new appointees. He is senior stimulation consultant for ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company. His degrees in engineering are from the University of Arizona.
