Melody A. Gonzalez, FL Q 2018, was recently profiled by Florida International University (FIU News) for her internship with Black and Veatch. Gonzalez is majoring in civil engineering at FIU and according to the article, she supported the South Florida team in water and wastewater related projects.

Her advice from her internship experience: “Networking is crucial. Get involved in organizations related to our field of study. Those professional relationships can give you the opportunity to get your foot in the door for an interview. Don’t give up. It takes time to build your network, but it will eventually pay off,” said Gonzalez.
