On November 29, the WV Beta Chapter at West Virginia University Institute of Technology welcomed nine new Tau Bates. The new members were highlighted in a news story by WV Tech. See the image below:

David J. Skorton, MD (NY D ’70), has been selected as the next president and CEO of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Dr. Skorton is currently the secretary of the Smithsonian Institution (since 2015).
According to the announcement, he is a board-certified cardiologist and president emeritus of Cornell University. He joined Tau Beta Pi in 2015 as an eminent engineer.
