TN Alpha Leader Profile, Eweek Activities, & Ole Miss ChE Study Abroad (February 2019)

The University of Tennessee recently profiled several “student leaders” including TN Alpha Chapter president Mariah R. Lafond, TN A 2019, a mechanical engineering major. She decided to become a chapter officer to increase her level of engagement on campus and to gain leadership experience.

Lafond will graduate this May and plans to pursue a master’s degree. Read the article for more information on her efforts to grow the TN Alpha Chapter and upcoming events aimed at keeping service a priority for the organization.

Michael S. McMillan, MS B 2020, is one of two chemical engineering students from the University of Mississippi profiled for studying abroad in Scotland at the University of Edinburgh.

McMillan is a junior, still in Scotland studying, and previously completed a co-op with SABIC Innovative Plastics. Click here to read the full news story for more information on the pair and their studies abroad.
