Renetta G. Tull, Ph.D. (DC A ’91), has been selected to serve as vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Tull is currently associate vice provost for strategic initiatives and professor of practice at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
According to the announcement, she is also co-principal and founding director of the NSF’s PROMISE: Maryland’s Alliance for Graduate Education and Professoriate. Her bachelor’s degree is in electrical engineering from Howard University.

Purdue University has recognized a transformational gift made by Ernest U. Gambaro, IN A ’60, and his wife Monica, to endow and name the school’s graduate program in aeronautics and astronautics. Click here to read the news article.
The Gambaro Graduate Program of Aeronautics and Astronautics was approved by the Board of Trustees in December. Gambaro earned his engineering bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue and went on to work at The Aerospace Corporation. He then became a lawyer and founded Infonet Services Corp., which became the largest provider of secure data network services to multinationals.
