UH INEOS Info Session, Alumni Events, & Fan Noise Engineer Job (Feb. 2019)

On Wednesday, February 27, the Texas Epsilon Chapter of Tau Beta Pi is hosting INEOS, the fourth largest global chemicals company, for an information session with representatives. The event is for TBP members and candidates.

“This is an opportunity for attendees to learn what the industry wants from its engineers,” said Pietro A. Cicalese, TX E 2019, biomedical engineering master’s student and TBP spokesman. According to the news article, it is rare for company officers to present for student organizations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to submit resumes.

Apple has posted an opening for a fan noise engineer in Santa Clara Valley, California. From the description: “As a noise & vibration engineer, you will quantify noise both objectively and subjectively, and establish thresholds in lab and factory environments based on judgement and user studies. You will perform validation testing to targets and analyze this data to better understand root causes of problems…”
