MindSET Projects, BME FIU Profile, & TBP HQ Updates (March 2019)

The Tau Beta Pi MindSET program supports enhanced math and science preparation for K-12 students, since 2009. This year, the program is stronger than ever with several new chapters starting local projects.

Collegiate chapters actively hosting sessions in 2019 include: California Psi (UC San Diego); Florida Alpha (UF); Florida Delta (UCF); New Jersey Beta (Rutgers); New Mexico Beta (UNM); and Pennsylvania Zeta (Drexel). Visit the TBP K-12 MindSET website.


Chia-Pei Denise Hsu, FL Q 2021, was profiled by the Florida International University (FIU) department of biomedical engineering. Originally from Taiwan, she is pursuing her Ph.D. at FIU.

According to the Q&A, Hsu worked for nine years as a full-time mechanical engineer before joining the BME program at FIU. She serves as the FL Theta Chapter president of Tau Beta Pi.
