Thursday, March 14, is Tau Beta Pi Day. Check out the list of nearly 50 events scheduled for Pi Day and throughout the month of March. There are events hosted by TBP alumni and collegiate chapters.

A reminder that these events are open to all Tau Bates (alumni and student) from any chapter, unless otherwise stated. Below are a few highlighted events of note:
March 13 – Tulsa, Oklahoma, present pies to veterans at Clarence Veteran Center.
March 14 – Huntsville, Alabama, UAH campus event with pie professor fundraiser
March 16 – San Diego, California, Pi Day party with alumni, students, & a piñata
March 20 – Rochester, New York, Pi Day Roc-Pi-nt at Radio Social
March 31 – Champaign, Illinois, Pi Day 5k fundraiser for service dogs

Adam J. Assink, MI G 2019, has received the University of Michigan Distinguished Achievement Undergraduate Award for environmental engineering. The award is presented to the outstanding undergraduate in each degree program and they each receive a stipend for the academic year.
Assink is a teaching assistant for two CEE classes, the captain of the men’s ultimate Frisbee program, and part of the leadership team for Campus Chapel. Click here to read the news announcement.

Texas A&M at Qatar is looking to fill the positions of Chair of the electrical & computer engineering program and Chair of the mechanical engineering program. It is anticipated the vacancies will be filled by the beginning of fall 2019 semester and are four-year renewable appointments.
