The University of Kentucky recently held its Tau Beta Pi Annual Engineering Awards Banquet. The local chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) highlighted two of its members (also Tau Bates) for winning awards:
James Obute – (KY A 2020) received the Most Outstanding Chemical Engineering Junior award.
Edward Ojini – (KY A 2020) was awarded the H. Alex Romanowitz Memorial Award and is an electrical engineering major.

Jonathan Zong, NJ D 2018, has been awarded the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship, a graduate school fellowship for outstanding immigrants and children of immigrants in the United States. Zong is graduating with a degree in computer science from Princeton University.
He will pursue a doctoral degree in human-computer interaction at MIT. According to the news announcement, he is “interested in visual interfaces that help people comprehend how technology governs human behavior.”
