Students at Stony Brook University SUNY participated in a Tau Beta Pi Engineering Futures (EF) session this past weekend. Two Tau Bates are among eight electrical and computer engineers with ties to Missouri S&T inducted into the Missouri S&T Academy of Electrical and Computer Engineering during the academy’s induction ceremony last week. They are: (See the full list.)
Geoffrey A. Akers, Ph.D. (OH H ’00) – associate professor of engineering at the College of the Ozarks; earned an electrical engineering B.S. degree from Missouri S&T in 1996.
David R. Saunders (MO B ’83) – senior systems engineer for Viasat Inc.; earned an electrical engineering B.S. degree from Missouri S&T in 1983.

Kaelee A. Novich, ID G 2020, is a junior majoring in mechanical engineering at Boise State University (BSU). This week she became a Tau Beta Pi member at the Idaho Gamma Chapter.
Earlier this month, she was profiled by the BSU School of Materials Science and Engineering for winning 1st place in Discussion Debate and 2nd place in Public Forum Debate at the 2019 National Speech and Debate Championship in New York.
