Auburn Volunteer Awardees, Sensors Data Speaker, & Plastics Engineering Position (May 2019)

The Auburn University College of Engineering recently recognized three students as its Student Volunteers of the Year, recognizing “outstanding students who assist with K-12 outreach initiatives.” Two of the awardees are Tau Bates:

The Sensors Expo & Conference 2019 will take place June 25-27 in San Jose, California. At which, John W. Lockwood, Ph.D. (IL A ’91), will present a session titled “Sensors Data & Advanced Analytics” on Thursday, June 27, at the Conference.

According to the site, Dr. Lockwood is CEO of Algo-Logic Systems, Inc. and founder of three companies in the areas of low latency networking, Internet security, and electronic commerce. He has published more than 100 papers and patents and earned his degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Applications are being accepted for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Plastics Engineering Technology at Penn State Behrend beginning fall 2019. The position will be responsible for teaching courses in plastics mold rheology, mold design, and plastic part design.
