Nik Angyal’s, NY K 2019, academic and athletic career was honored with the Peter DiPasquale Award at the University of Rochester department of athletics and recreation awards banquet. The award is presented annually to a male of the senior class who has shown excellence in the classroom and serves as a role model for their fellow students.
Angyal is graduating with a degree in chemical engineering. He helped the men’s soccer team to a berth in the NCAA Div. III Final Four (a program first) while also receiving two national awards: the NCAA’s Elite 90 Award as the student-athlete at the Final Four with the highest GPA and as a Google Cloud Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for men’s soccer. Authority Magazine recently interviewed Firdaus Bhathena, MA B ’92, about the use of digital technologies for health care. Bhathena is the Chief Digital Officer of CVS Health, leading the creation and implementation of CVS Health and Aetna’s digital strategy.
In the article, he discusses the “need to use technology to raise the bar for health and well-being in a manner that is accessible to all.” In the Q&A, Bhathena also talks about his career path, which began at MIT with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering & computer science.
