This Sunday on Father’s Day, Don P. Sheeran (OR B 2019) will graduate from Portland State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. His son, Jake, is also graduating with a degree in electrical engineering. Don has worked for 20+ years as a network technician at CenturyLink, but is looking forward to pursuing the next stage in his career, including a lifelong desire to be an inventor.
Jake plans to continue on in school to earn a master’s degree and looks up to his dad, “He’s very kind and hard working, incredibly hard working,” Jake said. “Hopefully I can be like him one day.” Read the article and see a video of the two together.

Junior Conor E. Gaffney, PA A 2020, has received several post-season awards including: honorable-mention USILA All-American, Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s At-Large Team, and Inside Lacrosse Media All-American.
Gaffney is a mechanical engineering and finance major at Lehigh University. He is a two-time Scholar-Athlete of the Year and is already the all-time Patriot League leader in faceoff wins (249) with one season of eligibility remaining. For more biographical information, see here.
