WPI Scholar-Athletes, Phi Kappa Phi Fellow, & Graduway Network (June 2019)

Jack Bauer, MA A 2019, led the way at the Worcester Polytechnic scholar-athlete awards banquet, winning The Merl Norcross Award, for “best senior male athlete over his career at WPI who exemplifies the high standards…” Bauer recently graduated with a degree in chemical engineering and finished his career as a seven-time CSCAA All-America in swimming.

Other Tau Bates receiving recognition included, Sydney R. Packard, MA A 2020, Patricia Graham Award for most outstanding female athlete in the junior class (track & field) and Tyler A. Marsh, MA A 2020, Phil Grebinar Award for most outstanding male athlete in the junior class (wrestling).


Louisiana Tech has announced that George J. Cazenavette V, LA G 2019, has received an $8,500 fellowship from Phi Kappa Phi, collegiate honor society. According to the announcement, Cazenavette recently graduated as a triple major in cyber engineering, mathematics, and computer science.

He is also a winner of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program and will attend Carnegie Mellon University to pursue a master’s degree in robotics. He was selected as a Tau Beta Pi Scholar in 2018.


Beginning July 1, Tau Beta Pi’s alumni/member network will be hosted by Graduway. This platform upgrade will take the place of our current VineUp network. Those currently using VineUp will receive an email regarding the switch.
