UT at Dallas Dean, TBP Scholars, & Convention Registration (July 2019)

Stephanie G. Adams, Ph.D. (NE A ’89), has been named the next dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Adams is a professor of engineering management and systems engineering and dean of the College of Engineering & Technology at Old Dominion University. Currently, she also serves as president of the American Society for Engineering Education.

Dr. Adams earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with honors from North Carolina A&T State University. She will start her new position on August 1, 2019. Click here to read the news announcement.

Tau Beta Pi has announced the 2019-20 class of Association Scholars. This year 294 students were selected to receive cash awards for their senior year of engineering study. This is another banner year in program’s history with $569,000 being awarded!

Read the press release for more information, including the naming of the scholarships. Short biographies of the Scholars will be published in August in conjunction with the Fall issue of The Bent magazine and online publication of The Bulletin.

Registration for Tau Beta Pi’s 114th Convention is now open. Make plans to attend this year’s Convention in Columbus, Ohio, and complete your online registration by August 1.
