Leticia Valenzuela, CA U 2015, was recently profiled by California State University, Sacramento, as she is “performing the design calculations for Sacramento State’s Hornet Commons (an eight-building student housing complex).” Valenzuela earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Sac State.

Automotive legend Lee Iacocca, PA A ’45, passed away on July 2 at the age of 94. According to an obituary, he was “known as the father of the Ford Mustang and the man who saved Chrysler Corporation.”
Iacocca earned his industrial engineering degree from Lehigh University and spoke at TBP’s 100th anniversary Convention in 1985. He spent time as president of both Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has two nominees, including Tarra A. Keating, FL I 2019, for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award; one of the most prestigious NCAA awards. Keating is a recent civil engineering graduate of Embry-Riddle (Daytona) and will start as a civil engineer for Kimley-Horn later this year.
As a collegiate student-athlete, she was a four-year letter-winner with the track and field team, capping her career as the 2019 PBC pole vault champion, and was a two-time PBC All-Academic selection. Read the news announcement for more information.
