TBP EC Nominees, Academic Jobs, & Machine Learning Seminar (July 2019)

Six Tau Beta Pi alumni have been nominated for three positions on the Executive Council for the 2020-22 term. Two recent academic jobs of interest:

The University of Oklahoma is accepting nominations and applications for “an innovative and visionary leader” of the Gallogly College of Engineering. If you are interested in applying to be the next engineering dean, submit an application by August 30, 2019. More information is available here.

Dartmouth College in New Hampshire seeks to fill a faculty position (assistant/associate/full professor) in medical imaging science and engineering. According to the job posting, review of applications will begin September 1, 2019.

Register for a seminar that “will explore machine learning trends and applications for semiconductor design and verification, including feature case studies from design teams.” Mentor, a Siemens Business, is hosting the Solido Lunch Seminar on Tuesday, July 30.

Two of the presenters are Tau Bates: Julian Tham, CA S ’90, vice president IoT design engineering at Cypress Semiconductor. He was previously named Rockwell Semiconductor systems engineer of the year and is currently serving as a committee chair for the IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference. Nebabie Kebebew, CA N ’82, is a senior product manager at Mentor. She has more than 15 years of EDA experience, including custom simulation and design-for-test.
