Dani Hoover, MO G 2012, has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division III women’s basketball first team. Hoover is a senior guard on the WU Bear’s team. She has a 4.0 GPA in systems science and engineering.

Case Western Reserve University senior Erin Hollinger, OH A 2012, was also named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division III women’s basketball first team. Hollinger was selected for the same honor last season. She is currently a two-sport star in women’s basketball and track & field.
Hollinger is majoring in macromolecular science and engineering. She is second in all-time scoring in CRWU women’s basketball history. Read an article with more information

MIT Press has been publishing a series of interviews to celebrate National Engineers Week. In a recent Q&A with Nancy Leveson the field of system safety engineering was discussed. Dr. Leveson is a professor at MIT and author of Engineering a Safer World: Systems Thinking Applied to Safety.
In the article, Dr. Leveson reveals that she is “creating an undergraduate class in system safety at MIT, which will be taught for the first time next fall.”
