The Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences is seeking applicants for the position of Lecturer in Engineering Sciences for the 2015-16 academic year. “Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. degree or the equivalent degree. In addition, we seek candidates with demonstrated evidence of proficiency in teaching and understanding of electronic circuit design and instrumentation.” Applicants will be reviewed as they are received and are encouraged to submit applications by June 1, 2015. Hajar Jafferji, MA A 2011, has been awarded a 2015-16 Fullbright U.S. Student Award to study in Morocco. While there, she will serve as a cultural ambassador and investigate the traditional and modern building materials used in deficient structures in the historic city of Fès. Jafferji is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in civil & environmental engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she previously completed a her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the same field. Spiceworks is hosting a free webinar with Bryan R. Martin, CA G ’89, 8×8, Inc. Chairman & CTO and voice over IP (VoIP) pioneer. According to the webinar page, Martin holds 48 U.S. patents in the fields of semiconductors, computer architecture, and more. He has served on the California Broadband Task Force for the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency and in 2006 was named one of the “Top 100 Voices of IP Communications” by Internet Telephony magazine.
