Timothy H. Sabins, SC B 2016, has been selected as the recipient of the 2015-16 Senior Undergraduate Scholarship from the Association of State Dame Safety Officials (ASDSO). Sabins is a senior majoring in civil engineering at the University of South Carolina. He participated in undergraduate research assisting with dam and levee breach simulation, he recently interned at Dynamic Engineering Consultants, and he will be recognized at the ASDSOs annual conference Sept. 13-17 in New Orleans. The Staford University department of mechanical engineering is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the junior level (assistant or associate professor). According to the job listing from The Chronicle of Higher Education, the “winning candidate may excel in experiments, theory and modeling, computations, device fabrication, or any combination of these approaches.” The review of applications will begin on October 1, 2015.
