The University of Florida (UF) has chosen W. Kent Fuchs, Ph.D. (NY D ’77), as UF’s 12th President-Elect. Dr. Fuchs has served since 2008 as the Provost at Cornell University. Previously, he was Dean of the Cornell College of Engineering (2002-08). Read the news announcement
Dr. Fuchs has a bachelor’s in engineering from Duke University and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. He joined Tau Beta Pi in 2003 as an eminent engineer and was initiated by the New York Delta Chapter at Cornell.

David M. Zoltowski, MI A 2015, was recently profiled by the Michigan State University (MSU) College of Engineering. Zoltowski is one of two MSU students that has been nominated as a Rhodes Scholar. He is majoring in electrical engineering, is captain of the MSU Varsity Swimming and Diving Team, is a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, and is an Academic All-Big Ten. Zoltowski plans to enter graduate school to study engineering science.
