UAH Community Event, Litigation Trailblazer, & Professional Designation (Aug. 2018)

As our collegiate chapters and members return to campus this month, many are already planning activities. The Alabama Delta Chapter, at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, will host a blood drive at the UAH Police department parking lot on August 15th, from 11am to 5:30pm! According to a recent announcement, Kurt Glitzenstein has been named a “Litigation Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal for “his pioneering work developing cost-effective, winning litigation strategies using alternative fee arrangements.”

Glitzenstein, MA B ’88, serves as a principal at Fish & Richardson as a litigation practice group leader. He oversees all aspects of the firm’s premier intellectual property and commercial litigation practices, which includes 250 trial lawyers. His bachelor’s and master’s degrees are in mechanical engineering.

Congratulations to Bliss Kelley Bernard, P.E. (LA D ’14), for earning the designation of Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana. Bernard fulfilled the required four years of work experience under a licensed engineer and passed her P.E. exam to achieve this career milestone.

She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in civil engineering. She is an engineer at Fenstermaker where she has worked on a variety of engineering projects, including environmental planning, traffic engineering, and roadway design.
